Hemorrhoids Treatments

When we talk about hemorrhoids, we are talking about a health condition where there is hurtful and excruciating painful mass of expanded veins in inflamed anal tissue. Hemorrhoids are also known as piles and they are medical terminologies that are used to describe the condition of inflammation and swelling or varicosity of veins in the anus or the rectum. There are both internal and external hemorrhoids and these are the most common among the kinds of hemorrhoids. Early hemorrhoids treatments can make a great difference in the health condition of a man. You must know that this condition can be treated and the earlier that is done, the better. There are lot of options for hemorrhoids treatments either using medical treatment or natural ways, depending on your preference. However, you must note that severe condition of hemorrhoids would only be treated through surgery and this is why early hemorrhoids treatments are usually recommended. There are some home hemorrhoids treatments you can do to get an instant or temporary relief from the discomfort caused by hemorrhoids.

If you plan to treat the condition medically, then do the following; firstly, get a warm bath with a bidet. Cold compress, extended shower head or even topical analgesic such as Preparation H would go a long way to give brief relief to hemorrhoid condition. Secondly, make sure you keep the part dry and very clean. You can then apply hemorrhoids treatments such as suppositories or creams to the affected area.

There are also natural ways  for hemorrhoids treatments and this includes the following; firstly, you must try to control diarrhea and constipation in order to avoid and reduce the severity of hemorrhoids. Secondly, drink lot of water. At least, take up to six glasses of water every day and ensure that you include rich fiber in your meal. Fibers in plantain helps a lot in making the feces soft thereby allowing the stool to move easily out of the body. This usually reduces the irritations that you experience when you are trying to push or strain during bowel movements. Beside the above hemorrhoids treatments, you can add dietary supplement and herbs such as horse chestnut, butcher’s broom, and substances from Japanese pagoda extract to your diet. These would help to build up and strengthen your rectal walls. It has been discovered in recent research that natural herbs such as bioflavonoid, butcher’s broom and horse chestnut are very effective herbs for hemorrhoids treatments. Fourthly, note that the application of some soothing agents and natural astringents like Aloe Vera, Cranes bill, and witch hazel would also help in the treatment.

When you are having bowel movement, ensure you reduce rectal pressure and also have a good posture such as squatting when you are using the toilet. Note that severe and chronic conditions of hemorrhoids require standard hemorrhoids treatments. These treatments include the following; getting hemorrhoidolysis electrotherapy or galvanic electrotherapy. This is a very painless treatment of the condition. It is also very effective and it entails the desiccation of the hemorrhoid through the use of electrical current. There is also a treatment called dilation. This entails the broadening of the anal sphincter ( the muscle which controls your anus). Note that this also has its side effect. There are also other hemorrhoids treatments known as rubber band ligation, cryosurgery, sclerotherapy and hemorrhoidectomy
